This dojo was the first Yoshinkan dojo in the Brisbane area, headed by David Dangerfield Sensei . He also holds credentials in Shinto Muso Ryu. Senior students are strongly influenced by the SMR practice with weapons practice not being common in the Yoshinkan schools. The schooll enjoys a close relationship with Joe Thambu Sensei, and attending his restraint and removal seminars here was my introduction to Yoshinkan. Since then then has been lots of opportunity to practice with the school - even though we are KI-sters
Today Sensei has formalised his practice as Kenshinkan Aikido and also offers Shinto Muso Ryu, a traditional koryu weapons school
