11 Shihonage Breakfall - What The...!

In several Aikido schools a break-fall from shihonage is required.  Its an impressive ukemi but can be worked up to in stages.

This shihonage is a little different from our standard syllabus but you can see the ukemi.  Its daunting at first until you realise its just kotegaeshi ukemi done progressively higher. (Centimetre by centimetre will get you there.)
